Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Chef Sean Conti brings an Italian soul and international spirit to BONITO Restaurant in Umalas.
He began his culinary journey at Ferramenta in Santarcangelo, where he trained across pastry, bakery, and traditional Italian cuisine. Sean later refined his technique under Chef Riccardo Agostini at Il Piastrino*, mastering the pasta and baking stations, before joining Chef Alberto Faccani at Magnolia—a two-Michelin-starred restaurant—where he also represented the team abroad in Riyadh, Jakarta, and at the Magnolia pop-up in Soneva Fushi, Maldives.
In 2023, Sean took on the role of Chef de Cuisine at Faccani’s Veranda in Cesenatico, leading a Mediterranean-inspired kitchen before joining Pierre Gagnaire’s brigade at Hotel Villa Saint Ange in Aix-en-Provence.
After collaborating with Chef Maurizio Bombini, he joined the MAURI Group as Senior Sous Chef at Ristorante MAURI, later supporting the pre-opening of Zia Tina, and now leads the kitchen at BONITO, where his refined Italian roots meet Bali’s easy coastal rhythm.
